Promotions are a great way to attract customers, boost sales, and reward loyal attendees. In this guide, you’ll learn how to create, customize, and test promo codes for your event using the Promote feature on your Event Dashboard. Follow the steps below to set up discounts, control usage limits, and ensure your promo codes work seamlessly at checkout.
Creating Promotions
On your event dashboard, click Promote from the Side Panel
Fill out the form with the following details:
Name of the Promotion – Enter the name for your reference.
Apply to All Tickets – Click Active under “Apply to All Tickets” if you want the promotion to apply to all tickets.
Maximum Quantity – Set how many times the promo code can be used in total.
Maximum Allowed Items Per Cart – Set how many tickets per transaction a single customer can apply the code to.
Type – Choose whether the discount is by Percentage or Fixed Price:
Fixed: A fixed discount amount (e.g. $30 off).
Percent: A percentage-based discount (e.g. 5% off).
Value (Percent or Fixed) – Enter only numeric values (no $ or % symbols).
Start Date/Time – Select when the promotion becomes active.
End Date/Time – Select when the promotion will expire.
Promo Code Type – Choose if this is a Regular Promo Code, Buy One Get One, etc.
Attached Products – Select the specific tickets the code should apply to (if not all).
Codes – Enter one or more unique promo codes that customers will use at checkout.
Description – Add a short description of the promotion for internal or customer reference.
Checking the Workability of Your Promo Code
To check if your promo code is ready and good to be applied to products/tickets, please follow these steps
Scroll to the top of your event page and click View Event
Select the ticket(s) the promo code applies to and proceed to checkout
On the checkout page, click Have a promo code and enter one of the codes you created
If the subtotal and total prices update and the original price appears crossed out (e.g., $100 → $80), your promo code is successfully working
