The Different Report Types

Abandoned Carts

06 Oct, 2026

The Abandoned Carts report is a session-level export of every cart created for your event that did not result in a completed purchase, listed in the order it was created. Rather than tracking completed transactions, this report is organized around incomplete checkout activity, making it the go-to report for understanding where potential buyers are dropping off before they finish an order.

Each row in the report represents a single cart session, so you can see individual abandoned carts as well as roll them up into daily, weekly, or custom date-range totals.

📑 What Information It Contains

The exported CSV includes basic session and customer data for every abandoned cart in your selected date range:

Cart details

  • Id – Unique identifier for the cart session.

  • Date – Timestamp showing exactly when the cart activity occurred.

  • Status – How far the customer got before abandoning (e.g., Added Products, Checkout Started, Abandoned).

  • Number of Items – How many items were sitting in the cart at the time it was abandoned.

Customer details

  • User Name / User Email – The customer's name and email, if they were logged in or had entered checkout details before abandoning. These fields are often blank for anonymous browsers who never got that far.

💡 Note: Not every column will be populated for every cart — User Name and User Email only populate if the customer reached a point in checkout where that information was captured, so many rows will show these fields blank.

🎯 What It Can Be Used For

Because this report captures activity before a purchase is completed, it's a flexible tool for more than just tracking totals:

  • Drop-Off Analysis: Group carts by Status to see how many customers stall at adding products versus starting checkout, helping pinpoint where friction occurs in your purchase flow.

  • Re-Engagement Outreach: Use User Name and User Email (where captured) to follow up with customers who started checkout but didn't finish, encouraging them to complete their purchase.

  • Demand Signal Tracking: Roll up Number of Items and cart volume over time to gauge interest in your event even when it doesn't convert to a sale.
