The Different Report Types

Check-in Report

06 Oct, 2026

The Check In report is a live, on-screen breakdown of check-in activity by product, showing how many tickets of each type have been checked in against how many were sold, comped, RSVP'd, or issued to a third party. Rather than exporting a file, this report displays results directly on the page as soon as you open it, making it the go-to report for monitoring attendance in real time on event day.

Each row in the report represents a single product (ticket type), so you can see check-in progress for that specific ticket as well as scan across all products to get a full picture of event attendance.

πŸ“‘ What Information It Contains

Unlike other reports, the Check In report doesn't generate a CSV or send anything to your email β€” it displays results directly on the page as a table, organized by product and ticket category:

Product

  • Product – The name of the ticket type being tracked (e.g., General Admission, VIP – 6 Seat, or a custom ticket name).

Ticket categories For each of the following categories, the report shows a Count (tickets checked in), an Available figure (total tickets in that category), and a Percentage (checked-in tickets as a share of available):

  • Sold – Tickets purchased through a standard paid transaction.

  • Comp – Complimentary tickets issued at no charge.

  • RSVP – Tickets claimed through an RSVP (free registration) rather than a purchase.

  • 3rd Party – Tickets issued or sold through a third-party channel.

  • Order Discount – Dollar amount deducted from the order as a result of the promotion.

  • Total – The combined check-in count, availability, and percentage across all categories for that product.

πŸ’‘ Note: A category will show 0 across the board for a product if that category wasn't used for that ticket type β€” for example, a ticket with no comps issued will show 0 for Comp Count and Comp Available.

🎯 What It Can Be Used For

Because this report updates live and breaks attendance down by ticket type and category, it's a flexible tool for more than just a headcount:

  • Real-Time Attendance Monitoring: Check the Total CheckedIn and Total Percentage columns throughout the event to see arrival rates as they happen.

  • Category-Level Reconciliation: Compare Sold, Comp, RSVP, and 3rd Party check-ins separately to confirm each distribution channel is checking in as expected.

  • Capacity & Gate Planning: Use the Available and Percentage columns per product to see which ticket types still have attendees expected to arrive, helping staff anticipate gate traffic.
