Creating Carousel Tickets

A step-by-step guide to creating master and child ticket layers, organizing your ticket tiers, and publishing them in a carousel layout for your event page.

Setting up your event tickets on Event Live is simple once you understand how layers and carousels work. This guide walks you through the entire process—from creating your master and child ticket layers, to adding images and verifying that your carousel tickets are live on your event page. Follow these steps to ensure your event’s ticketing setup is both organized and visually appealing.

Step 1: Creating Master Layer

  1. Go to your event

  2. On the side panel of your Event Dashboard, click on Tickets

  3. To create your first ticket, you’ll need a Master Ticket Layer. Click Create Ticket Layers on the right side of your screen (beside Expand All).

  4. Fill out the form with the necessary details.

  5. Click Save to create your Master Layer.

Step 2: Creating Ticket Child Layer

Some events have different tiers on one ticket, this is where you can add those tiers.

Example setup:

  • Master Layer: General Admission

  • Child Layer 1: General Admission – Early Bird

  • Child Layer 2: General Admission – Tier 1

  • Child Layer 3: General Admission – Tier 2

  • Child Layer 4: General Admission – At the Door

To add a Child Layer:

  1. On the Master Layer that you have created, click the "+" button to add a ticket

  2. A form will appear—fill it out with the same info as the Master Layer, but update the Name, Label, and Price for each tier as needed.

  3. Hit Save

  4. Repeat this process to add as many tiers as you need.

Step 3: If You need to Create More Tickets

If you need to create more ticket categories (e.g., VIP, Upper Box), repeat Step 1 and Step 2 for each new type.

Step 4: Setting Up Your Carousel Tickets and Getting your Tickets Live on the Website

  1. On the side panel, go to Ticket Channels. 

  2. On the right side of your screen, click Create Ticket Channel (beside Reorder)

  3. Fill in the form

    1. Enter a name for your carousel (E.g. VIP Tickets, General Admission Tickets, etc.)

    2. Hover over Layout Type and click Carousel

  4. Click Save

  5. Click the carousel you just created and click on Add Items (Green Button) 

  6. Select all the tickets you want to publish

  7. Click Save

Step 6: Adding Image to Carousel Tickets

  1. On the side panel, click Tickets again.

  2. Find the ticket you want to add an image to and click Layer Master Feed Editor under that ticket's name

  3. Click Design and Layout

  4. Click Upload to select a photo

  5. You have successfully uploaded an image to a carousel ticket

  6. Do the same for the other tickets by repeating the steps

Step 5: Verifying Your Tickets

  1. To very if you have successfully created and setup your carousel tickets, click View Event on the upper right corner of the page.

  2. Scroll down your page, if your carousel tickets appear on the event page, your setup was successful.
