Configuring Add-ons

Sometimes, organizers want to offer merchandise or additional items alongside their tickets—such as t-shirts, hoodies, caps, or other event-related products. The Add-On feature allows you to easily create and manage these optional (or required) extras during checkout.

With this feature, you can configure the following:

  • Add-On

  • Add-On Attributes

  • Add-On Fees

  • Add-On Media

Adding an Add-on

Follow these steps to create a product add-on:

Go to Tickets

From your Event Dashboard, go to Tickets > Create Tickets

Scroll to the ticket you want to configure

Click Layer Master – Fee Editor

From the side panel, click Addon

Click Create Product Addon

Fill out the form

Required Fields

  • Name (e.g., Shirt, Cap, Mug)

  • Label

  • Type

  • Price

Optional Fields

  • Sale Start and End Date/Time

  • Maximum Quantity

  • Available Quantity

  • Target Quantity

  • Description

Conditional Field

  • Is Required - When enabled, customers must select this add-on when purchasing the ticket

Click Save

Enable Add-on

Once created, the add-on will be disabled by default

  • Enable it under the Status column to make it available for purchase

Configuring Add-on Attribute

Add-On Attributes allow you to offer variations for your products (e.g., shirt sizes or different designs). This is optional and depends on your use case.

From the side panel, click Addon Attribute

Under Select Product Add-On, choose the add-on you want to configure

Click Create Product Addon Attribute

Fill out the form

Required Fields

  • Name (e.g., Small, Medium, Large, XXL)

  • Label

  • Type

  • Price

  • This is added on top of the base add-on price

  • Leave blank if there is no additional cost

All remaining fields are optional and can be configured as needed

Click Save

Adding an Add-on Fee

Add-On Fees allow you to apply additional charges separate from the add-on’s base price.

From the side panel, click Addon Fee

Under Select Product Add-On, choose the relevant add-on

Click Create Product Addon Fee

Fill out the form with the appropriate fee details

Click Save

Adding Add-On Media

You can upload images for your add-ons to improve visibility, especially on the Point of Sale in the EVENT Live Pro App. This helps both staff and customers easily identify products.

From the side panel, click Addon Media

Under Select Product Add-On, choose the add-on

Upload Product Images

Click Upload Media and select one or more images

Reorder Photos

Click Reorder Media to arrange the display sequence

Testing Your Add-On

Before going live, it’s recommended to test your setup:

Go back to your Event Dashboard

Click View Event

Perform a mock checkout

Verify:

  • Add-on visibility

  • Pricing

  • Attribute selections

  • Overall checkout experience

This ensures everything is working correctly and provides a smooth experience for your customers.


FAQs

Can I make an add-on available only to certain ticket types?

Yes! You can assign add-ons to specific tickets so only those buyers see them.

Can I offer free add-ons?

Absolutely. Just set the price to $0 when creating the add-on or attribute.

Can customers edit their add-on choices after purchase?

Usually, changes are only allowed before the event or before the order is fulfilled. It is highly advise to contact support@eventliveus.com regarding changes in the add-ons after purchase.

Can I limit how many of a certain add-on a customer can buy?

Yes, you can set Maximum Quantity for each add-on to prevent over-purchasing.

Will add-ons appear in reporting and sales data?

Yes, add-ons are tracked separately, so you can monitor sales, revenue, and inventory for each item.

Can I schedule add-ons to go on sale later?

Yes, use the Sale Start/End Date fields to control when an add-on becomes available.
